Research update - The Impact of COVID-19 on Critical Care RNs
Presentation Summary: This presentation will provide an overview of a mix method study conducted at Surrey Memorial Hospital examining the early impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on critical care nurses providing direct patient care.
Speaker bio: Sarah Crowe is a nurse practitioner in critical care at Surrey Memorial Hospital. She has over 15 years experience in critical care and has held several different roles including bedside nurse, educator, clinical nurse specialist and most recently nurse practitioner. She also teaches in the BCIT specialty critical care program. Sarah is the current Vice President for the CACCN national board of directors, and the scientific co-chair for the 2021 World Critical Care congress.
